Courteney cox is an American actress as well as a producer, director, and producer. She was born in Birmingham, Alabama and developed an interest in acting as an early child. She studied architectural studies at Mount Vernon College in Washington, DC But, she decided to leave her studies in pursuit of a full-time acting profession. Her movie debut by playing in the film 'Down Twisted'. She started gaining notoriety after appearing in one of the important roles in the horror slasher film "Scream'. The film was profitable commercially, and it earned eleven times its budget. It also received acclaim by the reviewers. She reprised her performance in the 3 sequels from the original film. Her popularity reached levels never before after she was cast in an important role on the popular sitcom 'Friends'. There were numerous nominations and awards for the role. The show, which was a huge hit, aired over ten years. Some of her most recent roles include a supporting role in the film drama "Mothers and daughters".
