Anamaria Marina is an Romanian actor. Her screen debut was with Sex Traffic, a Channel 4 film, for which she won the British Academy Television Award as the best actress. The actress is fluent in French, German and English. Her mother played the violin, and her father is director of one of Romania's most prestigious drama schools. She was awarded the Best Female Actor of the Year 2000 Award in the Young Actor Gala Mangalia. In 2008, the European Film Promotion Board named her an European Shooting Star in 2008. Additionally, she was the child character in Francis Ford Coppola's Youth Without Youth. In 2008, she starred as Yasim Anwar on the BBC Five-episode mini-series The Last Enemy. Marinca played the role of Yasim Anwar in Oliver Hirschbiegel's Five Minutes of Heaven, and also the Romanian drama Boogie. Later, she had the lead role in 2014's Fury in which she played Irma the German mother of Emma.
